Day at work. 

At lunchtime went for a walk in the city to do some shopping. 

Went to a Retirement Planning Workshop and it is not becoming so daunting. The workshop went through the meaning of retirement, the generational changes of retirement, and how to plan for the retirement, including realising lost skills that may become needed to take on the new phase of life. It is also addressed the different parts of my life: family, social, community, personal, spiritual, work; and what also I find I get the greatest rewards from.  The opportunity was then afforded to look at what my retirement looked to me and set some goals. Now to build the action plan.  At least I have 5 more years to get it into place. I am actually excited now of the prospect.

After the workshop, went and walk 7.4 km to Ashgrove Library, and it was the best walk I had done for quite a while. At the Library was the Bushwalking Queensland Inc. meeting and due to the lack of numbers, settled a few pressing issues.  Then I drove my mate to the football at Suncorp Stadium and drove his car home so I could pick him up after the football. Once that was done, dived into bed and got a good night’s sleep.
