The start of a work week is yet again upon me.
I had an interesting dream.
The dream was about my WLB calling me on the phone and in a distressed state. It was to do with her mother who had a hairline fracture of the left leg and had fallen. For some reason, her father was not around, and she was contacting me. I spoke to her on the phone to calm down and first make sure her mother was comfortable. I then said for her to get a piece of paper and write down everything leading up to this and exactly what her mum was feeling. Then contact 13Health with that information. Your mum might be able to speak on the phone herself.
I left her at that point to arrange these things and most of all to calm down. I did not receive any further calls, so presumed all was sorted out. I prayed for her mum and that a good outcome would be achieved.
Once awake, it was time to have breakfast and then get ready for work. While getting ready, I stumbled upon a photo of me from my passing out parade at HMAS Cerberus 36 years ago. This made me think of my family, my parents and the lengths they went to meet in various places in Australia when my ship visited. These thoughts carried onto the bus and train.
It also allowed me to reflect on the life I have led and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I have become a sufferer of PTSD and depression, living with type 2 diabetes, and a father of three wonderful daughters, and now returning to the Christian fold. I am so grateful!
It was another interesting day at work, getting into new tasks, learning new skills and evolving my behaviour.
Having finished work, it was time to head home, have dinner, watch some TV and go to bed.
