Sunday! Yay! I slept in and then catch up on my chores.
I am really worried about my wife whose daily routine is to wake up, go to her phone and catch up on her friends’ blogs, posts etc., then get up, go into the lounge room and sit down and put the TV on. Then eventually get breakfast, get the school-going children off to school and return to the lounge room and watch TV and her phone.
The eldest daughter who is suffering anxiety and borderline anorexia, gets out of bed about 10.00am and then goes and languishes in her bedroom for the rest of the day.
Meanwhile, I spend my Sunday having to catch up on the laundry, dishes and general housework. That is also to include the other projects I have to work through like the organisation of the BVRT Trek 4 DQ, Pilgrimage 2018 (gathering of the south-east Queensland bushwalking clubs) at Jimna, preparation for walking 100km in the BVRT Trek 4 DQ and Great Ocean Road Trek.
I am finding that while this blog is therapeutic, I miss some days as I am too busy to deal with everything so avoidance kicks in. I then panic that I haven’t put up what I went through each day, and worry that I might miss something or post something inappropriate. At least the panic and worry are not as intense as it used to be. I tend to shrug it off with a “will the World end because that was not done?”
Anyway moving on… I am sure God has a plan to all this so will persevere. The return to church has changed my whole life for the better as I am now and I reckon getting my wife into that space would be good for her too.
Once the chores were finished and the washing dry, I actually found time to iron all the clothes for the week, and other things, so I actually finished on a high.
