That’s 230 days to go, but who is counting?
Woke with a clear head for the first time in days. Seems I have got over the cold! Went to work, and arrival in the warmth. A slight breeze was blowing, making it feel cooler. Worked my way through the day with various tasks, form building, data extracts, compiling reports, etc.
Then it was time for lunch. Put my sandwiches together and took them with my WLB on our walk in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens. Found a nice sunny seat near the playground and delved into different subjects while having lunch. Was even joined by a Noisy Miner Manorina melanocephala which after scrounging on the ground, decided that my sandwich was worth trying to take from my hands. With a good bit of acrobatic flight, the bird managed to take a peck at the sandwich. I broke off a small piece of bread and it flew into a large bunya tree. Shortly after another Noisy Miner came from behind us and tried the same hi-jinx. I also threw it a piece of bread and it went to the same tree as the previous one. A breeding pair, perhaps. A bit of research was warranted to delve into their behaviour.
My WLB and I were in discussion about how she nearing 25 years of age, feels she is only just leaving teenagehood. She is starting to feel now a major chapter in her life is upon her. I said that I had a major change in direction in my life at that time too.
We also discussed the history of Christian churches, denominations, and the like. This gave me great food for thought.
Back to work and continued on the tasks. Ended working up to 5.00pm without knowing it.
On the way home, a discussion about the Bible how the first books cover a vast amount of time then Abraham comes along and the books are dedicated to single persons lives and actions.
Arrived home to a lovely dinner and the house had passed inspection.
Went to bed early and fell asleep quickly.
