A good year – 2018 – day 126

Woke early to get ready for a bushwalk. Packed the car and headed off. The car needed fuel so thought to aim for Kilcoy but monitor on the way. Drove through Moreton Downs estate to Lipscombe Road, then onto Boundary Road, to join the Bruce Highway. Traffic was light so it would be a good run. Exiting the Bruce Highway onto the D’Aguilar Highway, I was the only vehicle. The D’Aguilar Highway was extraordinarily quiet and passed Wamuran, D’Aguilar, and Woodford townships easily. The next town Kilcoy afforded the opportunity to put more fuel in the vehicle. Once fuelled, it was continue on passing through Moore township.

The highway then ascended Blackbutt Range to Blackbutt township, where the rest of the group was met at the Blackbutt Showgrounds.

The walk was going to contend with the Gonya Duathlon which being held between Blackbutt and Moore.

So three cars were driven down to Linville, with two left, and then back to Blackbutt to start the walk.

The walk description is at https://glasshousebw.wordpress.com/2018/05/07/blackbutt-to-linville-bvrt/

After the walk of 22.93 km as my TomTom Watch showed, I drove back to Blackbutt to take the rest back. Then I left Blackbutt. On the way back, I called in to the new IGA, and it was shut. Lucky up the road was the Friendly Grocer, so grabbed needed supplies and hit the road. On the way back home made some important stops.

I surveyed the progress of the Toogoolawah to Moore section of the BVRT. I drove down Arababy Creek Road to the BVRT and the excavators and other equipment were off to the left with the surface of the BVRT ready for final covering.  After a photo for the record then drove back towards Kilcoy and took note of the D’Aguilar Highway crossing of the BVRT at Nurinda.

Once the survey was over drove home and upon arrival, had dinner.

Not long after dinner, I became clammy, very light-headed, and need to go to sleep. I measured my BGL – 2.5!!! I grabbed a couple of jam sandwiches and recovered. After this went to a shop to buy some sugary confectionery. and felt drunk. Even my girls remarked on my behaviour!!

Once I recovered, I went to bed.

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit” – Romans 8:1
