Day Summary

Woke early, had breakfast then went and removed the items fro the caravan that were not needed. Then packed the essentials into the caravan. Put the caravan on the car and with Sue and Gemma went off to Esk Caravan Park. Arrived at the caravan park open up the van and went and had lunch. After lunch, Sue and Gemma, departed and Andy and Desley arrived. Set up the camp and then Gavin remembered to get screws to remount the door. Luckily Home Hardware was just across the road.

Remounted the door and after a brief interlude catching up on emails, social media etc. It was time to go over to Esk Park and have a BBQ meet and greet with fellow participants and support staff. Andy and I went off to the pub and noticed the main pub in town was closed down. A further walk of 200m and we came across the Club Hotel with its bottleshop. Bought a six pack of Pure Blonde and went back. A lovely BBQ was taken with lots of laughter with a scrumptious dessert. We received our packs containing blue powerade, hand sanitiser, almond and muesli ball, chupa-chup, lollipop, 3 x bandaids, almond and yoghurt sultanas, packet of tissues, and a raspberry cheesecake chocolate bar. Also in the pack was a certificate of joining…now get out and do it!, and the walk plan. We then left and took our chairs to the Esk Wivenhoe Motor Inn room no. 4 for them to be packed in the support vehicle and we have seats at each break point.

Back at the van, changed, showered and climbed into bed it was going to be a cold night.
