Day Summary

Ready for a new week at work.

Woke to my alarm (very rare) and by the time I had fully waken up, I had half an hour to get going. So I turned the kettle on, put the oats in a bowl added 1/2 cup water and microwaved it ]for 90 seconds. Tis is the time it took the kettle to boil so within 2 minutes I had my breakfast. Then I sat down to eat it, took my blood glucose level before the first spoonful, and then enjoyed breakfast. I then had my coffee with my 2 x Lovan capsules and then proceeded to iron one pair of trousers and one shirt. Then it pelted down with rain.

I needed to re-think my approach to the day.

I did my usual day planning while attending calls of nature and the subsequent shower. I was planning on wearing my work clothes in these two days before having the rest of the week off to participate in a 100km walk (that’s 60 mile to you imperial measurers!) Now it is raining it is better to wear a change of clothes in so I can get into warm and dry clothes at work. Plan sorted. By the time I was packed, dressed and out the door, I was 10 minutes late. Luckily for me, I can head the bus off at meet it at a closer point after it has done a circuit. Which I did and made it and the normal day started.

The rest of the day was settling in to the new team and now to educate my new team members what my role entails and also learn about their roles.

Cold day with showers and cold westerly wind.
