Local Government Elections and State Referendum for four year fixed terms.
Woke up early as usual. Seems 4 hours sleep is now the norm for me. At least I can get work done with internet not being drowned out by the other devices at home. BGL level was good at 5.1.
Worked on finalising the Glasshouse Bushwalkers Club Inc. newsletter and decided to go to my mother-in-laws with Sue as she has great internet.
Got dressed and made our way to the polling booth at the Deception Bay State High School with Gemma in tow as she wanted to see what a polling booth was like. Only in for a short time with three ballot papers to complete. Hmmm which of these three candidates do I want for the newly created division 5! Don’t know any of them! Oh well, eenie-meenie-miney-mo that will do. Then the mayoral ballot, hang only know one, I’ll stick with that. The referendum best choice out. Can’t go wrong “Yes” or “No”. Hope I have made the right choice here. Go to work for the blighters!
After voting and a bit of shopping for those staying home for the day, a phone call from the mother-in-law…”Don’t bother coming over, I won’t be there!” That sunk that, so home we go for a hot and sunny day doing computer stuff, finishing the Glasshouse Bushwalkers Club Inc. newsletter and then preparing for the Bushwalking Queensland Inc. Bush Bash Party the next day.
In among all this was washing and cleaning while trying to comfort my wife who is going through a mild form of depression, and early phases of menopause. Oh well, do what I can to keep the family together.
Finished the newsletter and preparation for the next day. Anything else needing tackling? Can’t think of anything..bed!
